OUR MUSIC:
The Blues is our main format. We also play locally-created programs on Thursday nights. Blues music is part of our American cultural heritage, and we want to keep it alive. DID YOU KNOW that there are less than a dozen “blues-and” stations (like blues and jazz, blues and urban AC, etc.) in the entire country?! That’s mind boggling!
We feel that a focus on one particular genre of music like the blues generates more excitement and a bigger sense of family than with a faceless corporate radio station playing randomized, overplayed, background mush. We also don’t want to polarize our audience any further by discussing politics or engaging in any Jerry Springer-esque drama.
